Well, what to say about this? He's a pirate, he damn sure is. I haven't been digital painting for aaaaaages, and to be quite frank I never liked what came from my hands before.

That was, until I had this severe fangirl attack after watching too many Pirates movies and listening far too long to the soundtracks.

I think I was fairly slow with this one... It took me over 20 hrs to finish it properly but boy, I tried to pay as much attention to the details as I could. So don't be afraid to zoom in, I worked at a 300% magnitude (yes, I've gone cross-eyed now )

Hm, what else? It was done with Photoshop, I tried to keep the colors as natural as possible and it was a nasty bugger to get the texture back in the skin. That's about it I guess. I had fun making it, I think it's as finished as it could get and I'm bouncing with inspiration for more like these, ha!
